Quarter Window Glass: Installation

1. Using a knife, cut away any rough areas on the body.

   HINT:

   Leave the adhesive on the body as much as possible.

2. Clean the cut surface of the adhesive with a shop rag saturated in cleaner.

   HINT:

   Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the body.

Using a cleaner, clean the contact surface which is black-colored area around the entire glass rim.

Install 3 new clips to the quarter window glass as shown in Fig 1.

Using a brush, coat Primer M to the exposed part of body on the vehicle side.

1. Using a brush or sponge, coat the edge of the glass and the contact surface with Primer G as shown in Fig 3.
2. When the primer is coated wrongly to the area other than the specified, wipe it off with a clean shop rag before the primer dries.

1. Cut off the tip of the cartridge nozzle.

   Part No. 08850-00801 or equivalent. 

   HINT:

   After cutting off the tip, use all adhesive within the time described in ADHESIVE TEMPERATURE & TACKFREE TIME .

   20°C (68°F)	100 minutes
   5°C (41°F)	8 hours

2. Load the cartridge into the sealer gun.
3. Coat the new glass with adhesive as shown in Fig 4.

   Adhesive height: 12.0 mm (0.472 in.) 

   Adhesive width: 8.0 mm (0.315 in.)

1. Install new glass to the body.
2. Hold the glass in place securely with a protective tape or equivalent until the adhesive hardens.
   NOTE: Take care not to drive the vehicle during the time described in ADHESIVE TEMPERATURE & MINIMUM TIME PRIOR TO DRIVING .

1. Conduct a leak test after the hardening time has elapsed.
2. Seal any leak with sealant.

   Part No. 08833-00030 or equivalent. 

1. Install the roof side inner garnish with the 3 clips.

2. Install the rear seat outer belt shoulder anchor with the bolt.

   Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

1. LH side:

   Connect the connector.

2. Install the deck side trim with the 5 screws.

3. Install the rear seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

   Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)
