Starting System: Starter: Installation

  1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 37 N*m (380 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the wire harness to terminal 30 and install the nut.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf) 

    3. Cover the nut with the cap.
    4. Connect terminal 50 to the starter assembly.
  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO. 1  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    HINT:

    See INITIALIZATION

    1. Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the battery terminal.
