Throttle Body: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts, then remove the V-bank cover.

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
    3. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
    4. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    5. Loosen the 2 hose clamps.

    7. Remove the 2 bolts.
    8. Disconnect the air cleaner hose and remove the air cleaner.
  5. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

    3. Disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose.
    4. Disconnect the throttle motor connector.

    6. Remove the 4 bolts, then remove the throttle w/ motor body and gasket.
    7. Remove the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

    9. Remove the No. 4 water by-passe hose.
