Inspection Procedure

1. Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

   OK: LIN communication system DTCs are not output. 

NG: GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

OK: Go to Next Step 

1. Check the power window operation function after the engine switch is turned off (See FAIL-SAFE CHART  ).

   Driver side door or front passenger side door is opened within 45 sec. but power windows can still operate	A

B: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH) 

A: Go to Next Step 

1. Use the Data List to check if the main body ECU is functioning properly (See DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST  ).

   OK: The Techstream display changes according to above chart. 

NG: Go to step 4 

OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH) 

1. Open the driver side door and check that the map light illuminates (See OPERATION CHECK ).

   OK: Map light illuminates. 

2. Open the front passenger side door and check that the map light illuminates (See OPERATION CHECK ).

   OK: Map light illuminates. 

NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)
