Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Align the installation holes on the steering sensor with the pins on the spiral cable.
    2. Attach the 6 claws and install the steering sensor to the spiral cable.
  2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER  (See INSTALLATION )

  4. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  (See INSPECTION )
  7. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • Reset the Autoaway/Return function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter (See CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS ).
  11. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
