1st Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to the "ON" position. Idle stabilizer valve should vibrate and hum. If okay, go to 2nd Check. If not okay, remove connector from valve and check idle stabilizer valve operation using Tester (VW 1325 A/1). Nominal value should be infinite ohms. If specified value is not obtained, replace idle stabilizer valve.
  2. If specified value is okay, reconnect connector to valve and check electrical connections on control unit relay adapter (in front of right tail light). If electrical connections are okay, replace idle stabilizer control unit.
