Driver's Window Switch Check

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove left kick panel. Unplug 3 connectors from the power window control unit. Set DVOM to the ohmmeter position. Connect DVOM Black (-) lead to terminal No. 14 (Green wire). Connect DVOM Red (+) lead to terminal No. 37 (Red wire). See Figure . Operate switch to lower window. Observe ohmmeter.
  2. If no continuity is indicated, check for open in Green and/or Red wire(s). Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is good, replace switch. If continuity is indicated, go to next step.
  3. Connect Red (+) lead to terminal No. 16 (Gray/Black wire). Operate switch to raise window. If no continuity is indicated, check for open in Gray/Black wire. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is good, replace switch. If continuity is indicated, go to DRIVER'S WINDOW MOTOR CHECK.
