Remote Compass Module: Installation

-- Position the Remote Compass Module (RCM) (2) onto the top of the Instrument Panel (IP).

-- Install the RCM retaining screws (3).

-- Connect the electrical connector (1).

-- Install the instrument panel top cover / defroster grille. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Connect the negative battery cable.

NOTE:

If the RCM has been replaced for any reason the Manual Compass Calibration and Compass Variance procedures will need to be performed. Refer to COMPASS AND MINI-TRIP COMPUTER, COMPASS VARIANCE ADJUSTMENT  and COMPASS AND MINI-TRIP COMPUTER, MANUAL COMPASS CALIBRATION .

-- Verify the compass operation.
