Remote Compass Module: Removing

-- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the instrument panel upper storage tray in order to gain access to the remote compass module (2). Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Disconnect the RCM electrical connector (1).

-- Remove the screws (3) securing the RCM (2) to the I/P.

-- Remove the RCM (2) from the vehicle.

-- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

-- Remove the Instrument Panel top cover / defroster grille. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Disconnect the RCM electrical connector (1).

-- Remove the retaining screws (3) securing the RCM (2) to the IP.

-- Remove the RCM from the vehicle.
