Tire Pressure Monitoring: Task

The TPMS uses the Right Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G44-, Right Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G45-, Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G46- and Left Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G47- to compare the rolling circumference and the vibration characteristics of the individual wheels. The vibration characteristics and the rolling circumference of the wheels change when the tire pressures change.

A change in tire pressure on one or more wheels is indicated by the TPMS indicator in the multifunction display of the dash panel insert. No additional sensors in the tires are required.
