Network Design

This networking diagram shows how the control modules communicate. All CAN-Bus lines transmit at 500 kBit/s.

Note the addition of the running gear CAN-Bus extended CAN-Bus. Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- is the LIN energy management and Multifunction Steering Wheel Control Module -J453- master.

A cornering light CAN-Bus (Advanced Front lighting System, AFS) is located between Cornering Lamp And Headlamp Range Control Module -J745- and the Left Headlamp Power Output Stage -J667- /Right Headlamp Power Output Stage -J668-.

In the infotainment CAN-Bus, Front Information Display Control Head -J685- is connected to Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- by the MIB CAN-Bus (a new subordinate Can-Bus system) and a Low Voltage Differential Signalling (LVDS) line (depending on equipment version).
