Windshield Projection Head Up Display Control Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Position the steering wheel as far back and down as possible. Use the entire adjustment range of the steering column adjustment for this.

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Store the vehicle key outside of the vehicle so that the ignition will not unintentionally start.

-- Remove the upper cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .

CAUTION:

There is a risk of destroying the windshield projection head up display control module.

- Only remove the designated bolts from the control module.

- Never remove the bolts for the housing upper section.

-- Cover the control module with a soft towel.

-- Remove the bolts -1-, -2- and -3-.

-- Slightly pry out the control module.

-- Loosen the cable holder -5- and release and disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Remove the control module.
