Driver Information System Control Module With Display Unit J1254, Removing And Installing: Removing

If the display unit is replaced:

-- Perform the necessary function/functions with the Vehicle diagnostic tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .

-- Position the steering wheel as far back and down as possible. Use the entire adjustment range of the steering column adjustment for this.

-- Remove the gap cover for the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Gap Cover, Removing and Installing .

-- Unclip the trim -1- using a commercially available plastic wedge.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Secure the display unit from falling.

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the display unit.
