Abs Repair Precautions: Notes

The following are precautions to observe when performing repair operations outside of ABS unit:

• Never disconnect battery or electronic components with ignition switch in the "ON" position.
• Pull off plug on electronic control unit when welding with an arc welder.
• When painting a vehicle, NEVER subject electronic control unit to temperatures above 180°F (82°C).
• Disconnect battery before charging with a fast charger. If battery has been removed, make sure wire terminals are tight on both connections after installation of battery. NEVER use a fast charger to start engine.
