Preliminary Checks

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Turn off engine. If turbine shaft does not stop rotating shortly after engine stops, remove intake hose from turbocharger compressor housing.
  2. Verify that turbocharger compressor wheel rotates freely. Ensure turbocharger compressor wheel does not scrape against turbocharger compressor housing when wheel is pushed radially or axially.
