Engine Control Module: Installation

  1. Inspect pins and sockets of control module connectors before installing. If any are visibly damaged, control module must be replaced.
  2. Carefully place control module into its housing. Press module into grooves as far as it will go.
  3. Place Special Tool (999 5572) or equivalent puller around control module. Move upper section of puller as far forward as it will go. See Figure.
  4. Press cover of control module housing into place.
  5. Ensure correct positioning of air ducts around module housing.
