Inspect Clearance

  1. Jack up the vehicle and push or pull each wheel alternately so as to make sure tire installation and clearance are mounted to the defined measurements.
  2. If the wheel clearance is large, step on the brake pedal and check if:
    1. The clearance between the wheels disappears; if so front wheel bearings may be loose, or
    2. If excess clearance remains, the steering knuckle, front shaft or front suspension may be loose.
