Shift Lock Release Replacement

NOTE: Make sure not to get any silicone grease on the terminal part of the connectors and switches, especially if you have silicone grease on your hands or gloves.
  1. Remove the shift lever (see SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL  ).
  2. Remove the A/T gear position indicator panel, (see SHIFT LEVER BOOT AND A/T GEAR POSITION INDICATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT  )
  3. Remove the shift lock release (A), and replace it.

  4. Apply silicone grease to the shift lock release lower point (B), and install the shift lock release.
  5. Install the A/T gear position indicator panel (see SHIFT LEVER BOOT AND A/T GEAR POSITION INDICATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT  ).
  6. Install the shift lever (see SHIFT LEVER INSTALLATION  ).
