Shift Mechanism: Removal

Remove shifter handle and console bezel.
If equipped with Autostick, disconnect the Autostick switch connector.
Loosen adjuster nut on shifter adjuster. See Fig 1.

Disconnect shifter cable from shift pin and disconnect cable from shifter assembly bracket. See Fig 2.

Disconnect interlock cable from shifter base slot. See Fig 3. Be careful not to break tab on interlock cable conduit end fitting.

Remove the five floor pan attaching nuts from the shifter base and shift cable bracket. See Fig 4.

Remove shifter assembly from vehicle. See Fig 4.
