Removal & Installation

  1. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located in front of battery. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove battery shield from battery.
  2. Remove 2 bolts attaching upper PCM bracket to vehicle. See Fig 1. Remove left front headlight assembly from vehicle by removing 3 retaining screws attaching headlight assembly to vehicle. Disconnect headlight and turn signal/parking light connectors.
  3. Remove lower PCM mounting bolt and disconnect PCM connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. Program New PCM. See PROGRAMMING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
