Electronic Control Unit (Ecu)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. On Charade, remove glove compartment assembly. On all models, install Sub-Harness (SST 09842-87704-000) between ECU and engine wiring. See Fig 1 .
  2. Check voltage and ground circuits and compare to values listed in pin voltage charts. See PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section. Repair component and/or circuit if values obtained are not as specified. If all values are as specified in chart but driveability problem exists, replace ECU.
