Headlights On Continuously

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect headlight relay. Measure resistance between terminal No. 4 and terminals No. 2 and No. 1. See Figure . Resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms. If relay resistance is okay, go to next step. If resistances are not correct, replace headlight relay.
  2. Disconnect 6-pin and 14-pin connectors at combination switch. Measure resistance between terminals with the switch in the listed positions. See COMBINATION SWITCH RESISTANCE  table under HEADLIGHTS INOPERATIVE test. Go to next step.
  3. If resistance readings in steps 2) and 3) are okay, repair White/Red wire between relay and switch. If any resistance reading is not to specification, replace combination switch.
