IPC Power & Ground Check

  1. Perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTING. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using test light connected to ground, probe IPC connector terminal A8 (Pink wire). See Fig 1 . If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, go to step 4).
  3. Check CLUSTER (10 amp) fuse. Replace as needed. If fuse is okay, repair open circuit in Pink wire between fuse block and IPC connector terminal A8. Ensure power supply to IPC connector terminal A8. Go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition on. Using test light connected to ground, probe IPC connector terminal A7 (Pink wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, go to step 6).
  5. Check GAUGES (10 amp) fuse. Replace as needed. If fuse is okay, repair open circuit in Pink wire between fuse block and IPC connector terminal A7. Ensure power supply to IPC connector terminal A7. Go to next step.
  6. Using test light connected to ground, probe IPC connector terminal B2 (Gray wire). Turn ignition on. Turn headlights on. Adjust dimmer switch to maximum intensity. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, go to step 8).
  7. Check ILLUMINATION (10 amp) fuse. Replace as needed. If fuse is okay, repair open circuit in Gray wire between fuse block and IPC connector terminal B2. Ensure power supply to IPC connector terminal B2. Go to next step.
  8. Using test light connected to ground, probe IPC connector terminal A10 (Orange wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, go to step 10).
  9. Check RADIO/BATT (10 amp) fuse. Replace as needed. If fuse is okay, repair open circuit in Orange wire between fuse block and IPC connector terminal A10. Ensure power supply to IPC connector terminal A10. Go to next step.
  10. Connect test light between IPC connector terminal A10 (Orange wire) and IPC connector terminal A9 (Black/White wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, go to step 12).
  11. Repair open in Black/White wire between IPC connector terminal A9 and ground. Perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTING.
  12. Connect test light between IPC connector terminal A10 (Orange wire) and IPC connector terminal B3 (Black wire). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, power and ground circuits are okay. Perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTING.
  13. Repair open in Black wire between IPC connector terminal B3 and ground. Perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTING.
