Starter Motor: Installation

  1. Install the starter motor. Install the starter motor mount bolt and nut. See Figure . Tighten the starter mount bolt and nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Connect the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid and secure the cable with a nut. See Figure . Tighten the positive cable nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the starter solenoid S-terminal lead to the solenoid and secure the lead with a nut. See Figure . Tighten the S-terminal nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the vacuum brake booster hose. Connect the battery negative cable. Tighten cable to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
