Installation Procedure

    Automatic Level Control Module (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 

  3. Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    The air lines and air suspension controller are color coded to aid with installation.

    Install and tighten the 5 air line nuts (3) in the air suspension controller. Fastener Specifications 

  5. Install the 2 air line retaining clips (1).
  6. Connect the electrical connectors to the air suspension controller as necessary.

    Install the air line retaining clips as necessary.

  8. Install the air intake line (1) in the body grommet.

    Remove the automatic level control air supply reservoir coupling cap (1).

  10. Install CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator to the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve (2) and set the regulator on the nitrogen tank to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  11. Using CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator, open the valve on the pressure gage to fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  12. Using CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator and the shop nitrogen tank, fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  13. Close the pressure gauge valve and remove CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator from the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  14. Install the automatic level control air supply reservoir coupling cap (1) and tighten. Fastener Specifications .
  15. Partially lower the vehicle, but DO NOT let the wheels touch the ground.
  16. Using GDS2 tool, use short-term inflate to increase pressure to the air springs:
    • Front: 6 Bar (87 PSI)
    • Rear: 5 Bar (73 PSI)
  17. Using GDS2, verify automatic level control air supply tank pressure is at 16 Bar (232 PSI), if not repeat steps 9 - 14.

    install the rear cradle, and electric drive transmission module assembly (1) to the vehicle. Rear Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AXK and K28) , or Rear Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AXK and K2O)

    With the aid of an assistant, install the fascia. (1) Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (GQH / GQI / GQO) , or Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (GQ2 / GQB / GQC)

  20. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  21. After installation, program the automatic level control module. Control Module References
