Air Valve

  1. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. Separate upper and lower bodies. Place sensing portion of air valve in water. See Fig 1 .
  2. Heat water to 140°F (60°C). Ensure air valve fully closes. Air valve should be open when cool. Replace air valve if defective. Reassemble throttle body and tighten screws to 31 Inch Lbs. (3.5 N.m).
