Diagnostic test procedures are designed to detect system faults as quickly as possible. Body control computer system diagnostic fault messages are accessed through Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB) scan tool or generic scan tool, is used to access information from DLC.
A 1997 diagnostic program cartridge, scan tool, body diagnostics cable, jumper wires, and digital volt/ohmmeter will be needed for testing. Proceed to SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A , IDENTIFYING VEHICLE EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM PROBLEMS.
