Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Do not reuse the high pressure fuel pipe.
    • Be careful not to transform the shape of the high pressure fuel pipe.
    • Torque wrench should not be tilt when you tighten the nut.
    • Follow the order and the tightening torque when you assemble.
    • Inspect fuel leakage after high pressure fuel pipe assembly.
    • Do not use already used bolt again.
    • Note the followings when mounting the injector on the delivery pipe:

      [GDI Injector] 

      1. When reusing the injector, replace it with a new one.
        1. Combustion seal

          (Refer to " REPLACEMENT  ") 

        2. Rubber washer

          (When installing the rubber washer, mount the steel plate faced to the cylinder mount and the rubber plate faced to the injector body.)

        3. Support disc
        4. O-ring

      2. Don't apply engine oil to the sealing.
      3. Do not use when it is dropped.
      4. Apply engine oil to the injector O-ring.

      [MPI Injector] 

      1. Do not use already used injector O-ring (A) again.

      2. Apply engine oil to the injector O-ring.
  2. Check for leakage the fuel after installation.
