Removal & Installation (MPV)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in the following order:
    1. Remove the floor mat of the passenger seat.
    2. Remove TCM in the order indicated in the illustration. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove glove compartment in the following order:
    1. Bend the stoppers inward, then remove. See Fig 2.
    2. Pull the glove compartment toward you while pushing it downward (1), then remove clip "A". See Fig 3.
    3. Slide the glove compartment toward driver's side door (2). See Fig 3.
  4. Remove air duct in the following order:
    1. Disconnect the front blower resistor harness connector. See Fig 4.
    2. Remove the air duct stay fastener.
    3. Slide the air duct to the right (3). See Fig 4.
    4. Tilt the left side down to remove the air duct (4). See Fig 4.
  5. Remove PCM panel in the following order:
    1. Pull the PCM harness connector stay fastener out from the PCM panel.
    2. Remove the upper right side of the PCM panel installation nut located at the back of the blower unit as shown in illustration. See Fig 5.
    3. Remove the lower side of the PCM panel installation nuts located at the bottom of the cabin carpet.
    4. Remove 4 installation nuts, then pull the PCM panel down to remove from installation place. See Fig 6.
  6. Disconnect PCM harness connector and remove PCM. See Fig 7.
  7. To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
