Keyless Receiver Inspection: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Bass-box (with Bose ®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk box (See TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Partially peel back the trunk side trim (RH) to the position allowing removal of the keyless receiver. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the connector from the keyless receiver.
  5. Remove the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  7. Reconnect the connector.
  8. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).
    • If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
    • If the system does not operate normally even though the parts under Inspection Item(s) and related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
