Power Brake Unit Removal/Installation: Notes

CAUTION:
- Once the brake switch clearance has automatically been adjusted, it cannot be adjusted again. Therefore, replace the switch with a new one when replacing the power brake unit or performing any procedure that changes the brake pedal stroke.
- Remove the following parts as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

- Fresh-air duct
- Resonance chamber
- Air hose
- Air cleaner cover
- Air cleaner element
- Air cleaner case
- Remove the following parts:
- Battery and battery tray (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
- Master cylinder (See MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Insulator (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, add brake fluid, bleed the air, and inspect for fluid leakage. (See BRAKE FLUID AIR BLEEDING .)
- Remove the brake switch. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Inspect the brake pedal. (See BRAKE PEDAL INSPECTION .)
- Install a new brake switch. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
