Ignition Coil Resistance

  1. Using a DVOM, measure primary coil resistance between terminal No. 3 (power terminal) and each coil terminal. See Fig 1 . To check secondary coil resistance, measure between each coil high voltage terminals. See Fig 2 .
  2. Replace coil if primary and secondary coil resistances are not within specification. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE  table.
