Abs Bleeding Procedure

  1. Using conventional manual brake bleeding method (using vinyl tubing and container, with foot pressure on brake pedal), follow sequence in BRAKELINE BLEEDING SEQUENCE  .
  2. Attach one end of tubing to bleed screw and place other end into container. Have assistant depress and hold pressure on brake pedal. Open bleed screw for 1-2 seconds and then close bleed screw. Release pressure on brake pedal and wait 3-4 seconds. Repeat procedure until air has been bled from system. See BRAKELINE BLEEDING SEQUENCE  . Bleed at each bleed screw until air bubbles stop appearing from tubing in fluid bottle. Close bleed screw. ABS system bleeding is complete.
  3. When air has been removed from system, depress brake pedal using approximately 66 lbs. (30 kg) force and hold it for about 20 seconds. Check pedal for any unusual movement. Install wheels. Test drive car for 1-2 miles, ensuring proper operation of brakes and ABS system.
