DTC Check/Clear
- DTC CHECK/CLEAR (for Using Techstream)
- Check DTCs.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Turn the tester ON.
- Read the DTCs by following the prompts on the tester screen.
- Clear DTCs.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Operate Techstream to clear the codes.

Refer to Techstream operator's manual for further details.

- Check DTCs.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.

- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Read 2-digit DTCs by observing the blinking of the ABS warning light and the VSC OFF indicator light on the combination meter.
HINT:
- If no code appears, inspect the ABS warning light circuit, VSC OFF indicator light circuit or TC and CG terminal circuit.TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT DOES NOT COME ONTC and CG terminal circuit TC AND CG TERMINAL CIRCUIT - As an example, the blinking patterns of the normal system indication and DTCs 11 and 21 are shown below.
- DTCs are explained in DTC chart (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
- If no code appears, inspect the ABS warning light circuit, VSC OFF indicator light circuit or TC and CG terminal circuit.
- After completing the check, disconnect SST from terminals TC and CG of the DLC3, and turn the ignition switch to OFF.
If 2 or more malfunctions are detected at the same time, the lowest numbered DTC is displayed first.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Clear DTCs.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

- Clear the DTCs stored in the ECU by depressing the brake pedal 8 times or more within 5 seconds.
- Check that the warning light blinks in the normal system indication pattern.
- Remove SST from the terminals of the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
HINT:
Clearing the DTCs cannot be performed by removing the battery cable.
- Check DTCs.

- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position
- Check that the ABS warning light and VSC OFF indicator light go off within approximately 3 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
