Using ALB Checker

NOTE: Do NOT reuse aerated brake fluid that has been bled from system.
  1. Park vehicle on level ground, and block wheels. Set transmission in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T). Disconnect 6-pin inspection connector from connector cover (located under glove compartment). Connect appropriate ALB checker to 6-pin inspection connector. See ALB CHECKER MODEL IDENTIFICATION  table. See Figure .
  2. Fill modulator reservoir to MAX level line. Start engine and allow to idle for a few minutes. Stop engine, and check fluid level in modulator reservoir. Refill to MAX level, if necessary.
  3. Bleed high-pressure fluid from maintenance bleed screw using Bleeder "T" Wrench (07HAA-SG00100 or 07HAA-SG00101). See Figure . Start engine and allow to idle. Release parking brake.
  4. Depress brake pedal firmly while test in progress light is illuminated. Two strong kickbacks should be felt. If kickback is not felt, repeat steps 2)  and 3)  . If kickback is felt, go to next step.
  5. Fill modulator reservoir to MAX level. Check ABS function in all modes using ALB checker. See ABS FUNCTION TEST  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
