Master Switch Test

Remove power window master switch. See procedures under MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of switch terminals with switch in indicated positions. If continuity is not as specified, replace switch. SeeFig 1 or Fig 2 . See appropriate POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH TEST table.

NOTE: Driver's power window switch is combined with the power window control unit. Switch cannot be isolated for testing. Perform appropriate switch inputs test. See procedures under SWITCH INPUT TESTS  .

(1) Main switch position does not affect driver's switch operation.
