NOTE: Perform SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Refer to SEATS - POWER article. After each repair, perform Perform TEST VER-3A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.

Using scan tool, select BODY SYSTEM, then MEMORY SEAT MODULE. If scan tool displays BUS OPERATIONAL, go to next step. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE from Memory Seat Module, go to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS TEST 8A  . If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE from driver door module, go to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS TEST 6A  . If scan tool displays any other message, go to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS TEST 1A  .

NOTE: Before testing memory seat system, ensure track and floor area are free of obstruction. Using power seat switches, push each switch and attempt to move seat in all directions. If seat fails to move in one or more directions, repair power seat system before proceeding.
NOTE: If driver's power seat does not travel to it's full limit, seat stops may need to be re-learned. Operate seat in direction that full travel is not obtained. Engage seat switch in same direction 3 more times against stop and hold it until memory seat module cycles off. Engage switch one more time. This will reset seat stop limits in memory seat module.
