Memory Seat Test 2A - Memory Switch Circuit Open
NOTE:
Perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Refer to SEATS - POWER
article. After each repair, perform Perform TEST VER-3A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
- Ensure driver's seat belt is unbuckled. Using scan tool, read BCMS-Belt status in memory seat inputs/outputs. If scan tool does not display UNBUCKLED, go to CHIME TEST 7A . If scan tool displays UNBUCKLED, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, SELECT DOOR MODULES, then SENSORS. Observe memory seat switch voltage. If scan tool does not display about 4.5 NORM, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B . If scan tool displays about 4.5 NORM, go to next step.
- Press and hold memory seat switch number 1 button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display about 3.6 MEM 1, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B . If scan tool displays about 3.6 MEM 1, go to next step.
- Press and hold memory seat switch number 2 button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display about 2.4 MEM 2, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B . If scan tool displays about 2.4 MEM 2, go to next step.
- Press and hold memory seat switch SET button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display 0.0 SHORT, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B . If scan tool displays 0.0 SHORT, erase door module diagnostic trouble codes and perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A .
