Memory Seat Test 2A - Memory Switch Circuit Open

NOTE: Perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Refer to SEATS - POWER article. After each repair, perform Perform TEST VER-3A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Ensure driver's seat belt is unbuckled. Using scan tool, read BCMS-Belt status in memory seat inputs/outputs. If scan tool does not display UNBUCKLED, go to CHIME TEST 7A  . If scan tool displays UNBUCKLED, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, SELECT DOOR MODULES, then SENSORS. Observe memory seat switch voltage. If scan tool does not display about 4.5 NORM, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B  . If scan tool displays about 4.5 NORM, go to next step.
  3. Press and hold memory seat switch number 1 button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display about 3.6 MEM 1, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B  . If scan tool displays about 3.6 MEM 1, go to next step.
  4. Press and hold memory seat switch number 2 button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display about 2.4 MEM 2, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B  . If scan tool displays about 2.4 MEM 2, go to next step.
  5. Press and hold memory seat switch SET button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display 0.0 SHORT, go to MEMORY SEAT TEST 2B  . If scan tool displays 0.0 SHORT, erase door module diagnostic trouble codes and perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  .
