Removal & Installation: Notes

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See the COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

NOTE: Use illustrations for exploded view of steering column. See Figure and Figure. Before servicing steering column, place shift lever in Park position, turn lock cylinder to OFF-LOCK position and remove key.
