Sunroof Control System: Operation: Initialization

Initialization of the glass roof control module and the shade control module that have not been initialized will restore the auto-open/auto-close control and the auto-reverse function.

NOTE: This procedure is required when the motor assembly is replaced with a new part. For reinitialization required when removing/installing the parts of motor assembly and frame sunroof, refer to "Reinitialization of glass roof control module" and "Reinitialization of shade control module".

Reinitialization of glass roof control module: Ref. to SUNROOF/T-TOP/CONVERTIBLE TOP (SUNROOF)>Sunroof Control System>OPERATION>REINITIALIZATION OF GLASS ROOF CONTROL MODULE .
Reinitialization of shade control module: Ref. to SUNROOF/T-TOP/CONVERTIBLE TOP (SUNROOF)>Sunroof Control System>OPERATION>REINITIALIZATION OF SHADE CONTROL MODULE .

Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Push the sunroof switch to the OPEN side, and keep the condition until step 4.
NOTE: When the sunroof switch is pushed to the OPEN side, the shade assembly moves in the OPEN direction first, and after about 1 second, the lid assembly front moves in the OPEN direction.
The lid assembly front and the shade assembly move to the fully open mechanical lock position, and then reverse and stop at the fully open position.
The lid assembly front and the shade assembly stop at the fully open position respectively and initialization will be completed.
