How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use this procedure to troubleshoot the smart key system.
- The hand-held tester can be used in steps 3, 4, 5 and 7.
- When troubleshooting the smart key system using the hand-held tester with the engine switch off, connect the hand-held tester to the vehicle and repeat turning any of the courtesy light switches on and off until communication between the tester and the vehicle begins (the interval ON and OFF should be less than 1.5 sec).
